True Grit is said to be one of the best movies of the year. really?well it should be, this is the third time they made it. True Grit was described to me as a movie that could bring back the western, and I must admit I agree. True Grit immediately transports you to a time when the world was a bit tough and everyone had to fight for what they wanted. The story doesn’t quite move along in the fashion one might expect, the previews were rather deceiving. But in some ways this was rather a good thing.
True Grit
True Grit follows the story of Mattie Ross (Hailee Steinfeld), whose father was just killed and robbed in a drunken fit by a hired lackey named Tom Chaney (Josh Bolin). Mattie, an intelligent but still very young girl, hires, U.S Marshall Rooster Cogburn (Jeff Bridges) to chase after Chaney with her accompany him.
